To kick off the holidays, I’m going to post holiday activities that my dolls do every so often. Here’s the first!
Earlier today, I was hidind on the window. But of course, Molly found me.
So here I am, walking to the Cranfeild Ice Rink because Molly claims to be a “fantstic skater.” I’m still adjusting to my new home. So far, it’s pretty good. For some reason, though, I don’t feel like skating today. Molly’s pretty nice, I guess.
When we got to the rink, we sat down on an odd, old fashioned yellow bench. I pull on my skates and put on my headphones. “Cool IPod,” says Molly. “Thanks,” I reply.
When we’re out on the ice, Molly rushes straight to the barrier. I wonder why? “Come on, Molly. Let’s go do strokes!”
“No, I can’t. I’m not good at skating at all. I just wanted to impress you. I thought it could be something that we do together.”
“It’s not a big deal, Molly. I can teach you how! It’s not hard at all.”
“Grab my hand,” I tell her. As Jingle Bells blasts through the rink, together, we glide through the ice rink chattering about the holidays, and what our sisters would like for Christmas. Molly tells me what everybody likes, while I tell her what I like. Somehow, we both end up laughing.
“I think I get the gist,” says Molly. “Can I try myself?” I let go of her hand and off Molly glides. “You’re doing it!” I shout to her. She’s not that bad. She might make a good ice skater. “Show me some of your tricks,” she asks.
Even though I haven’t done this in a while, I grabbed my leg and started to spin.
After that, I stretched my leg behind me and dipped down while gliding.
To finish it off, I wanted to do a triple camel spin! I wasn’t that good, but I would try. I stared off by doing some strokes.
Then, I nervousley leaped into the air, twisting around without falling. Now I had to nail the landing and this would be perfect!
As my feet hit the ground, my leg kicked up back behind me and I glided backwards. I had done it! I had nailed my triple camel spin! “WOOH! Go Mia!” cheered Molly.
That night, I lay in my new bed in my strange new room. It’s very pretty and I’m glad.
The dog that has taken a fancy to me lays beside my bed.
Near my bed is a pink nightstand.
On the other side of the room is a purple chair with a pink rose pillow.
On the side of the room is a fish tank made from this Doll Diaries tutorial. I love animals, but these fish are a bit strange. I know that I’ll grow to like then later.
Yawn. As I drifted off to sleep, I knew that this would only be one of the many holiday activities.
I hope that you liked that little photostory! Holiday activity 2# will be about the dolls creating their Christmas lists.
P.S. Do you like my new sign off?
